FEEL TRIPS are guided explorations of nature and its connection to our mental wellbeing.
I work with small groups of children (aged 6-12), creating outdoor adventures that explore mental wellness and nature. The focus is on inquiry-based, experiential learning.
Participants come away with a better understanding of their own social-emotional wellbeing and a growing love of the outdoors.
Every Feel Trip session is different! I respond to the interests and questions of the group and cater the program to capture individual passions and needs.
Feel Trips may include:
-Yoga Hiking
-Forest Bathing (peacefully enjoying the sounds, smells, sights and calming effect of the forest)
-Hands-on learning about local plants and animals (e.g., pond creature discovery, bird watching)
-STEAM Challenges (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts and Math) - building, creating, and inventing with natural materials
-Outdoor survival skills
-Feel Journaling (guided sessions encouraging use of drawings and words to express feelings)
