Each FEEL TRIP is a guided exploration of both nature and personal mental wellness.
FEEL TRIPS are designed to capture the excitement and curiosity of the participants (kids aged 6-12) while engaging in activities such as Yoga Hikes, Pond/Stream Explorations, Nature STEAM (Sci/Tech, Engineering, Arts and Math) Challenges and much more!
My name is Sandra. I've been an elementary teacher for 20 years and am constantly motivated by the natural desire kids have to learn and explore.
The time I spend outdoors has always been very special to me. Sharing that passion with students started during my first year of teaching when I noticed how many children did not have easy access to quality time in nature.
The importance of Social-Emotional Learning (S.E.L.) has inspired me to explore the link between nature and mental wellness and how to help kids make that connection too.
We guide small groups of children (maximum of 5), aged 6-12 in fun outdoor experiences. Participants explore nature while they learn the tools needed to develop a strong sense of who they are and how to cope with personal challenges.
They will come away from each FEEL TRIP with a better handle on taking control of their feelings and discovering new ways to be confident, happy and healthy!
Each FEEL TRIP is a careful balance of holistic, experiential learning focusing on both nature and mental wellness.
You can expect every FEEL TRIP to be a little different as we respond to the individual needs and interests of the participants.
Participants are encouraged to explore and learn at their own pace, with the benefit of an experienced guide to respond to questions and lead inquiries.
